The latest success story rocking the internet is that of 49-year-old Nigerian astrophysicist, Hakeem Oluseyi who works at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), an independent agency of the United States Federal Government responsible for the civilian space program, as well as aeronautics and aerospace research.
Oluseyi is a distinguished professor of physics and space sciences at the Florida Institute of Technology and is one of the most popular scientists in a field that deals with the otherworldly. Interestingly, he served in the Navy from 1984 to 1986, where he revealed he learned algebra before moving on to build a career in science.
It all started when he earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in physics and mathematics and went on to earn his MS and PhD degrees in physics from Stanford University.

During his time in Stanford, he was under the mentorship of the late Professor Arthur B. C. Walker Jr. Under Walker’s tutelage, Oluseyi, helped to design, build, calibrate, and launch the Multi-Spectral Solar Telescope Array, which pioneered normal incidence extreme ultraviolet and soft x-ray imaging of the Sun’s transition region and corona as revealed by a certain Temmy Balogun.
He started making his mark in high school where he created a computer program that did relativity calculations and ended up winning first prize in physics at the state science fair.
