Why the name Zmath?

Zmath’s motto is: “Making complex maths simple”, so the “Z” in Zmath comes from this idea. When studying complex numbers, z is often used to denote a variable which can take complex inputs (similarly to how x takes real inputs), so by extension, Zmath can be extended to “complex math”.

The team behind Zmath:

Zmath is run by Joshua Lewis, a high-school student with a passion for mathematics and physics living in South Africa. Zmath also has a group of writers that create articles for the website, with Joshua overseeing the process.
